I was born and grew up in New Mexico, returning there many times over the course of the years. I think of New Mexico as my original artistic muse, and I still return frequently to recharge my My first experience with art was through oil paintings of the New Mexico and Virginia landscapes. When I discovered clay I never went back to painting. Three dimensional sculpture and functional clay pieces have become my passion. Presently my studio, The Pottery Works, is a beehive of activity, with numerous other artists sharing the space, along with our annual holiday exhibit and sale.
