Jewelry designer Brock K. Green is a native of St. Louis. He has been an artist all his life, but has found that precious metals used in jewelry are his favorite mediums. Brock studied art under Theresa Long throughout Junior High and High School. Dr. Judy Felch taught the jewelry design classes he took while attending Principia College. After graduation from Principia with a degree in Spanish and a special focus in Jewelry Design, he headed north to Michigan's Camps Leelanau and Kohahna, where he currently spends his summers as the Silversmithing director. While there, Brock has also worked and studied with jewelry designer Becky Thatcher in her Glen Arbor studio, along with her master bench jewelers Bob Vertel and John Royce. Brock has taken advanced jewelry classes in gem setting, repair, and platinum fabrication at Conner Jeweler's Institute in New Albany, Indiana with Master Jeweler Charles Conner. Currently, Brock's favorite types of pieces to design incorporate white and yellow gold, sea glass, and diamonds. Brock does all his work by hand, and each piece is made from solid sterling, gold, or platinum. There is nothing cast or machine made, and his bracelets, pendants, as well as limited editions are signed and numbered. Some of his original designs and limited editions are now "retired."
