As a long time seamstress and amateur artists, I thought it would be impossible to find a job that would be both interesting and creative. It was with real excitement that I found a position with Ehrhard Stained Glass, a working, teaching studio in St. Charles, MO. Thus began my subsequent love affair with art glass as I spent the next five years with my new mentors learning the art of leading glass, copper foiling, and etching. Then, in 1989, they sold their business to my husband and me! Over the years, as we grew in experience, we included the fusing of glass to our interests. I have always been drawn to small detailed work and I loved making jewelry. When dichroic glass hit the scene, the possibilities soared. Dichroic glass, created using space age technology, is the diamond of the glass world, and a natural addition to any jewelry piece. Adding fine metals to our jewelry seemed like another natural choice. I'm endlessly fascinated with the new looks I can create with gold and silver filigree settings. With today's available materials, I've created thousands of wonderful pieces and no two are the same! Every piece completed leads to a new idea, a new piece, and new excitement. What a way to live! .
