Mountain Willow Studio - stained glass by John & Marty Holder

In 1998 Mountain Willow Studio came to life with the marriage of John Holder and Marty Adkins. With their common love for stained glass and their combined backgrounds in painting, music, theater, photography, graphic design and engineering, Mountain Willow Studio was born.

Their work encompasses traditional lead came, copper foil and fused glass, often in combination. Their designs vary from "Prairie School" panels to large organic abstracts.

Their work has been featured at The Library Center in Springfield and is in a number of private collections in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. They accept select commission work as well as sell work through Waverly House Gift and Gallery in Springfield, Missouri.

Mountain Willow Studio was selected by Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) to design and produce the graduating class of 2004-2005's gift to the university. This piece is the 5½' x 7½' "Stained Glass Quilt" on permanent display in Plaster Student Union.
