I have been working in the arts in one way or another, in one medium or other all of my life. I come from an artistic family with a Dad who is an excellent painter and I always have aspired to find my way to express myself through art. I am very connected to the earth and love the variety of wonderful stones and metals that come from the earth. The palette that I work with is provided by nature. I work with natural stones and pearls and I combine these organic materials with silver. I have recently begun working with a new medium called Precious Metal Clay. The organic clay contains fine silver particles that become solid fine silver after firing in a kiln. I enjoy putting my own unique stamp on my pieces with the focal bead or pendant made of the fine silver. I also use various types of handmade glass and crystals in my work. I have found it so pleasing to make people happy with the combinations and designs that I make. It is a pleasure to work with nature's bounty in this way. I spend a lot of time choosing the right product and designing each piece. The majority of my work is one of a kind although I do a bit of production work for selling in shops. I love what I do and I think it shows in my designs. I have been exhibiting through art fairs in the St. louis area and adjacent states for 7-8 years. I average about 25 shows a year. Recent shows have included the Westport Art Show "An Art Affair", Webster Groves Art & Air Festival, Hannibal Spring and Fall Art Shows, The Wichita Museum Art Fair in Wichita, KS, the Spring and Fall "Artist's Boutique" in Kirkwood, MO, Central West End Art Festival, Greentree Festival in Kirkwood, MO, Fall Arts and Crafts fair in Washington, MO, as well as several other shows in and around Missouri and in the neighboring states.
