Terry Martin Terry graduated from the University of Missouri (74) - Columbia Colleges of Education and Fine Art, with B.S., M.Ed., and M.F.A. He has focused his time and energy toward teaching, parenting and artistic pursuits. Like his father, a love of nature has been a sustaining force through-outmy life. As a child he remembers exploring an Ozark path with his father (the late Dr.Lynn W. Martin) and his younger brother Dr. Gregg D. Martin (also a nature artist.) According to Terry, this memory marks a time when life long awareness of natural wonders began. His observational study of nature took form of drawings and paintings. In 1983 his efforts were rewarded, when a watercolor of a trout was selected for use as the first competitive Missouri Trout Stamp. This opportunity created other opportunities to illustrate and paint portrayals of nature. His illustrations appear in the popular "Fly Fishing For Trout in Missouri" by Chuck & Sharon Tryon. He is presently a Professor of Studio Art at William Woods University in Fulton, MO. He is a signature member of the International society of experimental Artists, the National Society of Oil and Acrylic Painters, a juried member of the art association "Best of Missouri Hands," the Mid America Pastel Society and the Missouri Watercolor Society.
