Born in Freeport, Ill, in 1940, my mother’s dream for me had always been in the arts. As an oboe player she saw her daughter as a symphony orchestra artist. In 1976 I married an artist. We raised 4 children with my husbands art work and supported many employees & their families over the years.
Having always been in the office area of our business and encouraging my artist husband and his ideas, it never really crossed my mind to take up my own brush. Then in 2004, kids gone, employees gone, I watched my husband working with some inks and decided to try painting with them. That was my discovery into the fascinating world of ABSTRACT.
My husband has taken a back seat with his work, (only temporary) to design the different things I paint on and to do the finish work. I have found the effect of color on people can bring joy, peace, happiness and even giddiness. At this point in time we only produce originals, some of which can be seen in banks and insurance companies in Omaha, Columbia, and in galleries in Kansas City, Omaha, and Columbia.
