Floating watercolor across a piece of paper, pulling pulp to make paper, wrapping paper around an armature or forming clay to cast paper into fanciful forms gives me tremendous joy. I attempt to explore thoughts, ideas, perceptions and values based on who I am as a woman, a wife, a mother and a teacher. Some of my work is at times humorous and whimsical. This is a direct reflection of my desire to explore and explain my perceptions in a satirical manner. My more representational pieces are expressions of emotions and relationships in my life. My training and imagination have taught me to explore the inherent possibilities of paper and the making of paper. I hold a BS in Art from Towson University, Baltimore and a MAT in Communications from Webster University, St. Louis. Challenges of
imagination and experience in technique have served to focus my effort
and attention on symbolic detail. Within my art I give voice to the
images that move my imagination. Colors, shapes, textures and the
combination of forms become my playmates. Awards and
