Kris is an artist and calligrapher in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied at the Kansas city Art Institute. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she returned to St. Louis as a graphic designer for Monsanto.

Once Kris began a family she decided to “freelance”, establishing KhrisArt over 25 years ago. She worked as a calligrapher for corporations as well as individuals and also commissioned many portraits and home/building renderings. Her love for art and desire to allow all children the opportunity to appreciate, value and participate in the arts led to the formation of her own art enrichment program. Kris currently takes her program to 13 schools in the St. Louis area, as well as junior colleges and retirement centers. She has established a sound curriculum and has obtained valuable experience in teaching groups.

Kris continues to work from her home studio commissioning calligraphy, portraits and home renderings as well as creating her own line of contemporary artwork. Her medium of choice is colored pencil.
