Janice has been creating fine art photography since her retirement from teaching. The Foundry Art Centre juried her work into an exhibit, March-April, 2007, St. Charles, Missouri. She has had her work published in University of Missouri AlumniAssociation Sesquicentennial Gala Program, September 2006. Published photographs of hers are in Well Versed 2006, 2005, and the soon to be published Well Versed 2007, a literary publication of the Columbia Chapter of the Missouri Writers’ Guild. She received an Honorable Mention Award at Visions 2006, Photography Exhibition, First National Bank & Trust, Columbia, Missouri, September 2006. The Columbia Missourian featured her in the “Meet the Artist” column. Jan’s work is displayed in Columbia Art League, CAL Community Exhibits Program, and Rendezvous Coffeehouse all of Columbia, Missouri. For over ten years, Jan has been creating digital photographs to enhance projects in the classroom as a teacher and web designer, designing both web sites and educational materials for students and adults in the St. Joseph, Missouri, School District. Jan’s formal education is a Masters Degree in Information Science and Learning Technologies from Missouri University, Columbia, Missouri. Over the years, she has appreciated the artwork of others, participated in watercolor workshops, and developed her skills in digital art.
