Tom is fascinated by the creative urge, and has tried many of the methods of releasing it. Some were mastered, and some abandoned, but none has tugged at his imagination like jewelry made from wire. He discovered the ancient Egyptian practice of wire-wrapping, and made his first pendant in 1995. After taking classes in the craft, and learning basic designs, he began to experiment with new designs and refined his techniques. He started Firewolf Jewelry in 2002, and was accepted as a Juried Artist by BOMH in 2004.
The gemstones I set were given their individual character by the Earth. My obligation is to find the best way to display that beauty with an appropriate pedestal or frame E2809C(metaphorically speaking). Tom uses only sterling silver and 14k gold-fill wire and secures each wire against itself or its neighbor, using no solder. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind, and all are works of art you will be proud to wear.
