Gail Kelley is a fiber artist that expresses herself through three dimensional fabric soft sculptures. By combining her early training in sewing with an eye for design, she creates whimsical Santa's, snowfolks and animals meant to evoke feelings in those who view them. After majoring in fine arts in college she spent 20 years in advertising. She first worked for others and then partnered in her own agency. In 1984 she won a Flair Award for best color ad over one page. After advertising, a short career as an office manager for her husband's business convinced her of the necessity to express herself more creatively. A family member's desire for a fabric Santa opened that door. This began a fifteen year career designing, making and wholesaling her whimsical soft sculptures. The things she creates are not necessities. They are purely for the soul. Things that can make you laugh or smile. They are created with humor and made with love, in the hope that they are cherished by those who purchase them. Fabrications
