Annie Schuchart, a native Missourian, was born in St. Louis. Her primary medium is transparent watercolor, although she is never afraid to venture into new realms and is constantly seeking other means of expressing her ideas. She is an instructor and frequently is invited to demonstrate her painting techniques and juror competitions. Schuchart received her initial training at the University of Missouri in Columbia where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She received her Masters in Education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. Thereafter, she continues her progress by studying with some of the outstanding artists throughout the U.S. Schuchart's work was accepted into "Missouri Watercolor National," one of the country's best watercolor society exhibits in Fulton, Missouri in 2003 and again in 2005. Most recently, her work was accepted into The Bowery Gallery National in New York, New York. Her work has received frequent awards and is found in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S. She works full-time in her home studio in Sikeston, Missouri. Inquiries for private commissions are always welcome. She is a member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Southern Watercolor Society, Missouri Watercolor Society, St. Louis Artists' Guild, St. Louis Watercolor Society, Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, Visual Arts Cooperative, the Artisans Co-op, and the Bootheel Regional Art Guild.
