One fateful day in 2001, Anita Salvador was struck with an irresistible urge to start painting. Having a strong background in research and development she set out for the local library to study the classic painters and the methodology they employed to achieve their goals of producing a fine artistic composition. Soon her first painting was completed using a plywood board and ordinary house paint. What began as a hobby rapidly escalated into a career by winning awards like People's Choice in juried shows. In 2004, she left her previous life behind with few regrets and has been exhibiting, teaching, and opening her own gallery to share with others. Anita's paintings are shown in the U.S. as well as Lyon, France and brings to the arts a fresh pervading sense of peace, utilizing deep rich colors. Her work yields a vibrant dichotomy of a deep sigh of tranquility accompanied by a fresh crisp breeze. She loves life and desires to share this love with her students and patrons.
